NASHI IMMIGRANTS
HEALTH BOARD

During my apprenticeship at Desautel Hege (DH), I worked on a brand campaign project for the Washington State Department of Health and the Nashi Immigrants Health Board. The goal was to reach Former Soviet Union (FSU) immigrants and refugees in Washington with vital health and safety information.

I designed seven Ukrainian-inspired patterns to honor their heritage and created visuals and digital assets for social media and for their website.

// CONTEXT

Vyshyvanka, a traditional Ukrainian embroidery style, was central to the campaign’s visual identity.

I researched authentic garments and based the color palette on real embroidery threads. Each pattern was designed with careful attention to cultural significance and tradition.

The patterns were a key part of the brand identity, with each one representing a different subject, such as education or healthcare.

I also designed custom icons for each topic, like a book for child care and education.

You can find these assets used in practice here.
